This months Fall / Winter 2010 trend Story, WILD, reassures us and helps us rediscover energy and the impulse to be daring, here we will try all types of stimulation!
This season, using an impulsive esthetic, we dare to express ourselves flamboyantly! The last century's couture designers, decorative Italian artists of the 70's and collectors inspire us with unexpected associations. We play on classic and couture codes using a dose of well-mastered flashiness, a more baroque, ornamental esthetic.
WILD is a story of energetic colors, we must go beyond the crisis, we need an electrical charge. Colors are almost fluorescent brights associated with somber classics, solid beige and mid-range tones. We work with light, flashy effects, auras and reflections, colors with a healthy glow. Think of feline motifs, furs between lion and wolf. More aggressive motifs like two-tones on velvet and taffeta.
Peclers' WILD trend has a primal inspiration, we must dare to show off, dare to convey messages or dare simply to have fun, like Grace Jones, the original expressive wild child.

Our Culture Snack section is where we share interesting findings, ideas, events, initiatives etc.
Especially now that times are tough, it is good for both employers and job-seekers to stay on top of employment trends. In San Francisco on October 21st, Coroflot is hosting the fourth installment of the acclaimed Coroflot Creative Employment Confab.
This event centers on a panel discussion, focusing on strategies for hiring and retaining top creative talent. The panel discussions, hosted by Coroflot Editorial Director Carl Alviani will feature great guests: John Foster of IDEO, Emily Delmont of Google Creative Lab, Kate Gilman of 24 Seven, and Steve Johnson of LinkedIn.
Bonus: this round of the Creative Confab will feature optional morning workshops, led by experts on both sides of the hiring equation.
We hope to see you there!
